The Tripuri Purnima Full Moon celebrates Shiva’s victory over the ‘city demon’ Tripuri. Shiva is the Hindu god of dance, death and transformation. Communities celebrate their spiritual power to overcome adversity. Lamps and candles are lit after Sunset to honor and welcome the Lord of the Dance.

This Full Moon also coincides with the end of the Mayan ‘Year of Destruction’ and the beginning of the ‘Year of Flowering.’

about getting things done!

The Full Moon on November 13 in 21°15′ Taurus, opposite the Sun conjunct Mars and Mercury in Scorpio and with Neptune conjunct Chiron in exact square to both, is creating many possibilities.

This year the Taurus Moon - close to the Pleiades star clusters - will climb high in the night sky for the northern hemisphere (but low for the southern hemisphere), so its light will be more brilliant than usual.

Keyword : GUIDANCE.
By maintaining perspective and seeking inner quiet during times of emotional upheaval, we may find reassurance.
Something important to hold in our heart and mind, while the Saturn-Uranus opposition cycle is beginning to unfold.

Mars conjunct the Sun signals a good time to unearth long-buried (Scorpio) anger (Mars) and allow it to the light (Sun). Unresolved anger and resentment are definitely sources of stress, so facing these issues can bring better health.
The Sun-Mars conjunction in Scorpio is far more controlled/socialized in its expression than another martial sign such as Aries. In this chart we will be inclined to weight the consequences before taking action.
In matters of wounds related to suppressed rage, Scorpio when rightly handled is a healer.
This square aspect creates a crisis encouraging action to relieve the tensions. In this case the square involves an eruption into consciousness (Full Moon) of unhealed wounds (Chiron) that may have been driven into the subconscious (Neptune). The release of tension in a 90° aspect prods us to finally do something, while Neptune if operating from its highest expression represents unlimited compassion and acceptance, providing balm to emotions (Moon) and self-image (Sun). The power of this Full Moon also allows an increase of personal wisdom directly available thru the Chiron/Neptune combination.
The fixed signs resist change so the evolutionary process will somewhat be held back, unless we remain aware to relax into the process and allow the magic to operate.

Another pattern in this chart involving the waning Saturn-Uranus opposition is brought out by the warrior side of Pallas-Athena in Gemini : it warns us to count to ten before expressing our frustrations of dealing with the Saturn-Uranus opposition. For those of us who got hit by this opposition, this full moon will help increase our awareness of the challenges ahead and the best way to deal with them.

Harsh words are not likely to accomplish much, even though they may feel good at that moment!

In the middle of all of this, Jupiter and Uranus, now in a harmonious sextile aspect, bring exciting new expansive opportunities and changes : just as the Moon is full, the apex in the forming sextile between Jupiter and Uranus happens infusing illumination and energy for change and innovation.

The trine between Uranus in Pisces and the Sun/Mercury in Scorpio presents an excellent time to take on an innovative research project. Pisces is imaginative and inspired while Scorpio delights in gathering data behind the scenes before presenting a finished product to an awed audience.
Along with these patterns a grand earth trine between the Moon in Taurus, Saturn in Virgo, and Jupiter in Capricorn will comfort us with the practical side of earth, emphasizing quality rather than quantity.
Venus, entering Capricorn hours before, is trine Ceres and offers quiet support and sober nurturing.

We have a choice now between clinging to "illusions" or start manifesting our authentic selves and practice kindness.

Enjoy silent sitting meditation before you go off for a "promenade au Clair de Lune"... during which you can alternate cycles of "dance meditation" with silent walking. There will be much energy available if silently contained and expressed through dance - it will reveal our natural state of inner peace and joy!
