momentum : the harvest



have you noticed how the new moon falling before the Libra ingress / fall equinox is always a major momentum in the astrological year ?

the Virgo new moon corresponds to the harvest month and represents the mid-cycle 'gathering' impulse, from all our earlier responses to cosmic conditions since the Aries ingress - it is in fact a 'karmic' moment, when our sowing and labor lead up to fruit bearing, when the result of our intentions, actions and reactions is made manifest ..
hence the symbol of the virgin (initial idea/concept) holding a sheaf of wheat (now given physical form).
the planet Mercury is the main ruler of Virgo and gives it the detached mental acuity for precise detailed "work", while understandably so Ceres, now considered a secondary ruler, enhances the provider and nurturer dimensions of the sign as well as its intimate relationship to Nature .

 

as i looked at this chart, the first thing that came to my mind was the fact that this is the second succeeding New Moon to be unaspected by other planets (cf last month) !
the Sun.Moon alignment at 15° Virgo is this time totally void of aspects .. i tend to disregard its wide-loose conjunction with Mercury still retrograde - which would in any case indicate delays and a slow start for the month.

but considering :

1° - how many shifts will immediately follow the lunation : just to name a few - Venus enters Scorpio and Jupiter re-enters Piscis hours later, on the 12th Mercury turns direct and on the 13th so does Pluto..

2° - the continuing effects of the Venus.Mars dreamy/diffuse trine with Neptune.Chiron on one side and the ongoing intensity of the cardinal T-Square on the other (Venus being the planet most aspected in the chart)

3° - the symbol for 15-16 Virgo :

this is about a karmic confrontation : in short, the wanna be spiritual initiate needs to confront the raw primal salvage energies kept burried somewhere in the "subconscious" before considering any transcendental process ..

there must be a very meaningful design behind this current 'pause'.
as a child confronted with a forceful new aspect of Nature : at first taken aback by surprise and even fear, he needs a moment to get accustomed to this presence and to the unsuspected feelings it brought out as well, before expressing any coherent reaction..


let's not forget that the main cosmic issue here, IS still the Jupiter.Uranus/Saturn/Pluto cardinal T-Square :
it's effect is somewhat softening thru a temporary separation, offering an opportunity to gain some perspective on the last six months.
but doesn't it visually and empirically compare to the drawing and aiming of an archer's bow, when at the point of utmost tension - it is given a 'hold your breath' pause to readjust before release ?

as if at one level, humanity is given a break in order to adjust :

- its aim and sight on the horizon (in this light, Venus.Mars 's recent long trine to Neptune has been a real help)

- its focus/concentration and power of intent, thru the gathering of its life/chi-force (the Venus.Mars 's sextile to Pluto has been most useful)
while staying weary (with the Venus soon followed by Mars inconjunct Jupiter.Uranus zone) because of the very unusual and unique character of the times.


as mentionned above, the cosmos IS gathering a special momentum during this month - and i am personnally only starting to fathom the why's and how's: yes, something is starting to show in the distance ...
