The Fall and Expulsion from the Garden of Eden (1509/1510). by Michelangelo

“I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;
with painful labor you will give birth to children.
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you.”

To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’

“Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat food from it
all the days of your life.
It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.
By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return.”

symbol :

a jockey spurs his horse, intent on out-standing his rivals.

Key: Intense mobilization of energy and skill in the drive for success in any social performance affected by the competitive spirit.

Since the end of the archaic ages and the stressing of individualism, especially in our American society which worships the material images of "success," the desire to win any kind of "race" engenders an often-feverish release of energy controlled by technical skill and long practice. Wherever this symbol is found, it indicates the need to spur one's total being toward speedy attainment of whatever goal it may be.

SELF-QUICKENING: Every superfluous "weight," every unnecessary consideration is to be dismissed in the one-pointed attempt to reach one's social goal.

‎considering today's astrological configuration and energies:

linked by a 'chord', two fish seem to be pulling against one another and swimming in different directions... Pisces, a dual sign, represents the last battle of the soul/humanity - longing to transcend its duality and to liberate itself from the feeling of separateness, in order to merge into oneness with all creation = 'sea-consciousness'

the manifested always points to a source.. to make it short, after looking at today's chart, I went on to read the parable of Adam and Eve again - what it does really say to us on the psychological level, is about a chain of inadequacy and shame projections from one generation onto another, repeating itself indefinitely -- we all seem to be conditioned from birth to give our power away, individually and collectively... and freeze our life force. nothing can change until we each heal this original wound (probe within and acknowledge feelings of inadequacy), embrace our true selves, and release our life force

that which IS, is good enough and is in direct connection with the 'source'

ps: a calendar 'blue moon' - is not astrologically special and has no astrological incidence, as each full moon occurs in a different sign
