.. in the solitary bliss of the white city

Pisces by Johannes Hevelius, 1687
(stars are heightened in gold)

The last new moon before Nowruz and the spring equinox...
occurs in the midst of a mega stellium with no less than nine 'bodies' (the Sun, Moon, five planets and two asteroids) in Pisces...
with Mercury still retrograde,
and the Sun.Moon conjunction forming two major aspects:
a trine with the Nodes
a T-square with Lilith, Ceres and Vesta on one side and the Galactic Center on the other.

This unusual stellium with a mass of planets in Pisces, is actually simpler to interpret than most planetary configurations.
The planets are blurring each other's specific function; their activities dissolve and merge into one sole electromagnetic wave.
What really stands out is the Piscean vibration, which results in a disintegration of the personality as a separate entity.
It requires a "going with the flow" and a channeling of energies through the activities of the house where we have Pisces in our chart... but it can also signify a period of major confusion and disintegration in that area of our life - represented by the house.

Neptune has a very insidious, subconscious effect on us - like the hidden sea current which takes us by surprise and will swallow us into the deep if we struggle and try to hang on to outer forms of security, but will eventually land us on a new shore if we face the unknown with faith, release our grasp and surrender to its flow...

Cyclically, Pisces represents the 'end' when Light prepares to overcome the Dark.
What was initiated during the previous spring equinox, giving fruit during the summer, falling to the ground during the fall and coming to crystallize (on a social level) since the Winter solstice,
has now run its course and is breaking down and melting, like ice in water...

Pisces also represents a period of the year when we need to clean the 'house' - the inner and outer - when previously established structures dissolve and are washed away by the storms and the deluge, when we learn to rely on our 'inner voice' instead of relying on possessions, material security, fallacies of the past or any preconceived crystallized ideas of the world...
in Pisces we find out that nothing will save us but utter faith - which means sacrificing everything and standing alone and naked.

Everything ultimately and finally returns to the Sea
but nothing vital will be born anew unless it comes from the Sea.

New Moon 11 March 2013, 19:51:01 gmt, 7e15, 43n42

22° Pisces

A prophet carrying tablets of the new law is walking down the slopes of Mount Sinai.
Key: The need to bring down to the level of everyday existence the clear realizations made manifest in a great "peak experience."  The symbol obviously refers to Moses after he received from the God of his people the basic principles upon which a new religion, and even more a new ritual of living, should be founded. This basic "Law" has to be "brought down." It represents a descent of formative and structuring power, a divine Revelation. This type of revealed knowledge contrasts with the kind of knowing born out of the experience of touch, of feeling, of warmth of contact. This second stage symbol pictures a process to which a religious God-given character has been attributed in the past, but which today is being investigated at the personal and psychological level. The important point here is: what do you do after you have a peak experience, an inner revelation? The Keyword MANDATE is appropriate; but the basic problem is how to fulfill it in the right spirit.

A man bringing down the new law from Sinai.
This is a symbol of the eternal authority implicit in the very fact of man's ideals, and of a spiritualization of experience through the religious insights of a human society and the institutions it has created for the common welfare. The inspired prophets of each age have been custodians of an enduring morality, and this has its embodiment in the mountain-top aspiration of even the least of individuals. Right is dramatized as a personal responsibility for the course of events. The keyword is MANDATE. When positive, the degree is self-sacrifice and a determination to further the ultimate upliftment of all men, and when negative, self-exploitation and impenetrable egotism.

Down the man-made mountain of industry in allegorical representation comes a prophet with tablets of a new Law.
This is a symbol of the success of humanity in meeting the challenge of its new order or the codification of rising values as these are recreated by experience. Positively it is a degree of holding self to highest standards; negatively, self-bestializing. The keyword is EXACTION.

If we can thus
let go of our false sense of security, our illusory sense of identity, confront our fears of the unknown,
our unconscious neuroses and psychological complexes that were built with time
transcend our own walls made of mental and emotional limitations

bear the prolonged silence and the formless
to hear our soul, our naked being
overflowing with compassion
in the inner infinite space...
of the now

we may then
enter the white city
where the promise of glory
and the New Life
await

sound of waves and the sea
