Sun conjunct Jupiter
a new start..
with rays of Love
right before the solstice
marking the tempo for the whole summer season
and heralding the beneficent grand water trine
indicates
optimism, confidence about the future
a favorable time
for unblocking certain energies and reach for a form of transcendence
for sending messages, to overcome certain communication problems and amend sibling relationships
a desire for mental adventure and travel
a willingness to take risks and embark on new ideas and/or areas of studies
a danger of wanting to appear bigger than one really is
The first mockingbird of spring
key: The creative exuberance of the human soul in response to basic life experiences.
The mockingbird is able to imitate sounds he hears, but actually he does more than imitate, for he weaves all these sounds into melodies which at times can have joyous amplitude and instinctively creative spontaneity.
The symbol refers to the capacity which the talented individual has to take collective material and to transform it under the urge of biological productivity and instinctual love.
The song rises, powered by these great natural drives, very much as so-called popular songs rise from the youthful soul in response to deep personal or social emotions.
At this stage, what is presented to us symbolically is the reaction of the individual who has become sensitive to many life currents in his environment and who is able to exteriorize this welling-up response as a gift to his society, displaying VIRTUOSITY.
The first mockingbird in spring.
This is a symbol of the contribution of aesthetic experience to the strengthening of self at core, given emphasis by the skill in imitation through which any vicarious participation in life is enhanced. Here man's aspiration becomes articulate far in advance of his self-refinement, and as a result the promise in his given case may be manifest in achievements of which he would be quite incapable in normal course. At the least he is called to attempt a self-revelation which will add real stature to his role in everyday living.
The keyword is QUICKENING.
When positive, the degree is a consistent stimulation to others in all human affairs, and when negative, annoying self-assertiveness.
High in a tree that has given only the faintest evidence of the returning spring, a mocking bird delivers its repertoire.
a symbol of the recapitulation of all opportunity of self at the threshold of all new expression of individuality. Positively it is a degree of the full realization of the potentialities of selfhood; negatively it is idle self-gratification.
