some thoughts about pluto
Oil painting on wood - of Hades abducting Persephone. (18th c.)
Persephone
used to live far away from the other deities, a goddess within Nature
herself before the days of planting seeds and nurturing plants. In the
Olympian telling, the gods Hermes and Apollo had wooed Persephone; but
Demeter rejected all their gifts and hid her daughter away from the
company of the Olympian deities. The story of her abduction by Hades
against her will, is traditionally referred
to as the Rape of Persephone. It is mentioned briefly in Hesiod's
Theogony, and told in considerable detail in the Homeric Hymn to
Demeter. Zeus, it is said, permitted Hades, who was in love with the
beautiful Persephone, to carry her off as her mother Demeter was not
likely to allow her daughter to go down to Hades. Persephone was
gathering flowers with the Oceanids along with Artemis and Athena—the
Homeric Hymn says—in a field when Hades came to abduct her, bursting
through a cleft in the earth. Demeter, when she found her daughter had
disappeared, searched for her all over the earth with torches. In most
versions she forbids the earth to produce, or she neglects the earth and
in the depth of her despair she causes nothing to grow. Helios, the
sun, who sees everything, eventually told Demeter what had happened and
at length she discovered the place of her abode. Finally, Zeus, pressed
by the cries of the hungry people and by the other deities who also
heard their anguish, forced Hades to return Persephone.
Hades
indeed complied with the request, but first he tricked her, giving her
some pomegranate seeds to eat. Persephone was released by Hermes, who
had been sent to retrieve her, but because she had tasted food in the
underworld, she was obliged to spend a third of each year (the winter
months) there, and the remaining part of the year with the gods above.
With the later writers Ovid and Hyginus, Persephone's time in the
underworld becomes half the year.

a few thoughts about Pluto transits
All-together the Pluto transit lasts about three years and when the orb is exact, it's as if it's put us through "hell".
The most challenging planetary transits are when Pluto makes a "hard aspect" to a personal planet..
in today's case to the natal Moon.
Pluto transits can feel so overwhelming that it's easy to lose our boundaries and in reaction to the awakening of our deepest fears.. it is natural to get self-protective!
A Pluto over Moon transit operates through the physical and the psychological. One experiences the "plutonian" aspect of life on a visceral / gut level : either through the body, the feelings or the relationships.
The matters that are linked to this level may well relate to emotional abuse and/or complexes that are linked to distant childhood events and situations.

The fact is that most people go through life as if they are actors in a play which ceaselessly repeats itself... until the day comes that the person actually feels so much inner void, emptiness to the point of desperation. As if crossing a desert or as if being surrounded with death. It indicates that the "ego" as a fragile and artificial construct is in danger.
If in reaction and from fear of these feelings one disconnects from one's core - and starts enacting as the "Plutonian"
that is
the power-hungry abusive obsessive manipulative bully... the one who needs to win at all costs as if it were a matter of life and death - justifying all kinds of destructive behaviors because they feel locked in a power-struggle pattern...
It is then important :
- to recognize all the steps that led to that point, in order to start the integration/liberation process.
- to identify our fears and put a name on the "monster" is of great help. By doing so you will objectify something that feels both "dangerous" and "unknown" - but by naming it you are establishing a relationship with that part of yourself instead of being swallowed by "it" - and therefore you bring it from very deep within, up to the surface of your consciousness!
- to recognize the ways in which we make projections onto other people and play victims = as projections are very much mirrors to our psychological complexes .. this part is most important but takes a long time and much laborious work !!
- more intimate the relationship with another person, the more intricate is the connection! as if one's complexes finds resonance with another person's. these relationships are the best ground for self-knowledge.. and enacting our complexes 'out'
- It eventually also requires that we accept that something in life is greater than ourselves : the process of a Pluto transit comes with this acceptance.
- to rest assured that the underlying spiritual meaning of "all this" will eventually manifest in proportion to our own need
that will be all for today
