29 10 2010, 1:10:25 GMT, 7e15 43n42  Venus goes retrograde little over every 1,5 year thru an inverted motion. If we keep in mind that the markers of our experience during any planetary cycle, are the very degrees of the inferior and superior conjunctions, then each of the movement's phases highlights certain areas of our lives. This year, the Venus cycle occurs in Scorpio, same sign as the recent Venus/Mars. The present conjunction of Venus with the Sun happens at 6° Scorpio: The Gold Rush Tears Men Away From Their Native Soil  and refers to a process of be-coming, of going beyond the familiar .. doesn't each quest originate in Desire? The water triplicity being here its predominant element, the visual figure that stands out in the above Venus cycle chart, is the familiar shape of a pendulum. "When a pendulum reaches the end of its swing, there occurs a brief instant of pure potential energy when the pendulum is motionless, before it begins its swing in th

23 10 2010, 1:36:32UT, 7e15 43n42 This full moon occurs at 30° Aries which corresponds to the symbol: A Duck Pond And Its Brood Each sphere of activity is necessarily limited by its natural environment. In fact our universal consciousness, no matter its span, needs to be localized into concrete actions as Dharma is given substance in the material world. Worthy of note, this is the second of two subsequent full moons in Aries since the last full moon occurred at one degree of Aries: A Woman Just Risen From The Sea; A Seal Is Embracing Her what was implied in the last full moon is reaching a culmination of sorts now. Through the transformative fire and sheer energy giving of Aries, we are reminded that the current times are about new seeds and principles, that we are to move forward into virgin fields of consciousness and that with confidence in our 'destiny' and who we are, we may initiate this new process. This chart looks like a basket made of many symmetrica

The Delphic Oracle

On BBC - radio 4 "In Our Time" , Melvyn Bragg and his guests discuss the Delphic Oracle, the most important and best documented source of prophecies in the ancient world. In central Greece, on the flank of Mount Parnassus, lies the ruined city of Delphi. For over a thousand years, between approximately 800 BC and 400 AD, this was the most sacred place in the ancient world. Its chief attraction was the Delphic Oracle, which predicted the future and offered petitioners advice. Travellers journeyed for weeks for a chance to ask the oracle a question. The answers, given by a mysterious priestess called the Pythia, were believed to come straight from the god Apollo. At the height of Greek civilisation the oracle was revered, and its opinion sought in some of the most significant conflicts of the age. Its activities were documented by historians including Xenophon and Plutarch, and it was regularly depicted in Greek tragedy, most famously Sophocles's masterpiece Oedipus

with the T-Square in the background .. time is speeding up this week, demanding that we make up our mind and some long awaited life choices September 19 : while both in retrograde motion, Jupiter conjuncts Uranus at 28°43 Pisces for their second meeting this year - their first encounter was in Aries on June 8th and they will meet again in January 2011. as mentioned in previous posts, this year is to bring major scientific and socio-cultural breakthroughs: while humanity has been in a state of expectation for a giant leap (Jupiter.Uranus), some important advances since June may seem to have gone unnoticed and taken time to be announced as such (Pisces retrograde) .. but they are to be taken at another level this time. according to the house in which it happens and the aspects it makes with other planets in each individual chart, the Jupiter.Uranus conjunction is to set in motion the area in our life where we are ready to take risks and step beyond the familiar .. and into the unkn

momentum : the harvest

have you noticed how the new moon falling before the Libra ingress / fall equinox is always a major momentum in the astrological year ? New Moon 8/9/2010 10:29:49GMT 7e15 43n42 the Virgo new moon corresponds to the harvest month and represents the mid-cycle 'gathering' impulse, from all our earlier responses to cosmic conditions since the Aries ingress - it is in fact a 'karmic' moment, when our sowing and labor lead up to fruit bearing, when the result of our intentions, actions and reactions is made manifest .. hence the symbol of the virgin (initial idea/concept) holding a sheaf of wheat (now given physical form). the planet Mercury is the main ruler of Virgo and gives it the detached mental acuity for precise detailed "work", while understandably so Ceres, now considered a secondary ruler, enhances the provider and nurturer dimensions of the sign as well as its intimate relationship to Nature .   as i looked at this chart, the first

24/08/2010 17:06:46GMT 7e15 43n42 Could you explain to someone who's never seen any, what it feels like to take a ride on a Ferris wheel? Difficult .. But once they finally get to take a ride, they will make sense of all the gut feelings and sensations you'd tried to describe them earlier. Well imagine that your own spiritual path is like a ride on an unknown kind of Ferris wheel. You will read many map roads and formulae trying to learn about it in manuals .. but at the end these will appear very pale once you're riding on it. Most of what will become has not been written.
