on meditation, grace and peace

Image
Sri Anandamayi Ma Does the capacity to meditate come by practice in this life, or is it an aptitude acquired in former births ? Mātājī : It may be the result of either of the two, or of both combined. Meditation should be practised every day of one’s life. Look, what is there in this world? Absolutely nothing that is lasting; therefore direct your longing towards the Eternal. Pray that the work done through you, His instrument, may be pure. In every action remember Him. The purer your thinking, the finer will be your work. In this world you get a thing, and by tomorrow it may be gone. This is why your life should be spent in a spirit of service; feel that the Lord is accepting services from you in whatever you do. If you desire peace you must cherish the thought of Him. When will there be peace on earth? Mātājī : Well, you know what the present state of affairs is; things are happening as they are destined to be. When will this state of unrest come to an end? M

Any emergence of life potentialities from the depth of the vast Unconscious is answered by the spiritual activity of superconscious forces in a cosmic kind of antiphony. The individual who has taken a new step in their evolution should look for the "Signature" of divine Powers confirming their progress. It may reveal the meaning of what is to come next. The "wing-like clouds" may also symbolize the presence of celestial beings (devas, angels) blessing and subtly revealing the direction to take, the direction of "the wind" of destiny. This stage concludes a process, having experienced which the individual should find themse

the rose

The Rose The spinning vortex of Saturn's north polar storm resembles a deep red rose of giant proportions surrounded by green foliage in this false-color image from NASA's Cassini spacecraft. Measurements have sized the eye at a staggering 1,250 miles (2,000 kilometers) across with cloud speeds as fast as 330 miles per hour (150 meters per second). This image is among the first sunlit views of Saturn's north pole captured by Cassini's imaging cameras. When the spacecraft arrived in the Saturnian system in 2004, it was northern winter and the north pole was in darkness. Saturn's north pole was last imaged under sunlight by NASA's Voyager 2 in 1981; however, the observation geometry did not allow for detailed views of the poles. Consequently, it is not known how long this newly discovered north-polar hurricane has been active. The images were taken with the Cassini spacecraft narrow-angle camera on Nov. 27, 2012, using a combination of spectral fil

bindu In the name of astrology, ninety-nine percent of astrologers are only bluff. Only one percent know that astrology is a vast subject - so vast that someone can only enter into it hesitatingly... My intention in talking on astrology is not the same as are discussed by an ordinary astrologer. The astrology I am talking about is of much more depth. Something which is essential between your life and that of the universe is connected, is in a rhythmic harmony. We are not separate or isolated but joined together in an organic way. Life is a whole. Whatever is happening anywhere in the universe also affects man and vice versa. If we can understand this properly, there is no need to live encaged within ego and pride. The significance of astrology is this: you are not, but the universe is. Your ego is not, but the cosmos is. Very powerful forces are operating, and your ego is absolutely insignificant. You can only understand the astrology I am talking about, if you think

Vibhuti after the Scorpio Full Moon

Image
Vibhuti is the sacred ash used in religious worship in Hinduism. Vibhuti offers the user spiritual and physical protection, it drives away negative energy, increases psychic ability and makes you more visible to angelic beings. Generally, it is used to denote the sacred ash which is made of burnt dried wood in Vedic rituals. The Hindu devotees make a paste by mixing vibhuhti with water and smear it as three horizontal lines across the forehead and other parts of the body. Vibhuthi smeared across the forehead to the end of both eyebrows is called Tripundra. Vibhuti is the sacred ash obtained during a fire yajna or Homa. It is prepared before the deity of God while chanting sacred mantras and offering oblations into the fire. The main ingredient of Vibuthi is dry wood but several other most pure sattvic substances as prescribed in the scriptures are also used. Some Vibhuti manufacturers these days use the ash obtained from residue of cow or other animal dung that i

texas explosion, 17 april 2013, 7:50pm local time, 97w09, 31n33 (18 april, 0:50gmt) yes the Texas explosion is in relation to the Sun.Mars conjunction in Aries the chart for the explosion in Waco shows a grand cross and a crucial alignment with the USA chart: it happened about half an hour after the exact Sun.Mars conjunction... which in turn is opposite the Libra Ascendant and is still activating USA's Chiron in Aries the Moon in Cancer close to the MC is almost square the Sun.Mars/ascendant and is also transiting USA's Mercury and opposing USA's Pluto. moreover Venus in Taurus is approaching an opposition to Saturn in Scorpio while Mercury is about to activate the Uranus Pluto square.. on the other hand as indicated by the axis alignments with USA's Pluto and suggested by the sabian symbol, something previously hidden may come to light through this. symbol for 28° Libra ascendant of this chart: a man becoming aware of spiritual forces surrounding

'nowrooz' 2013 : a new path opens to the humble and compassionate

Image
' nowrooz ' the new day, before it can really mark its start with the aries lunation is affected this year by a series of major planetary cycles; the equinox happens during a mercury retrograde, it is followed by a full moon and a venus cycle before the new moon ... which is followed by saturn going retrograde before a mars cycle the Sun ingresses Aries with Mars (ruler of Aries) and Uranus in the early degrees of Aries - the sign of exaltation for the Sun : this new day / new solar year starts with exceptional force and concentration of energy  it will be joined soon after by Venus and the New Moon will therefore happen in the midst of a stellium   nowrooz, spring equinox, 20 march 2013, 11:01:56gmt, 7e15, 43n42 27 march 2013 : full moon "The most basic 'Law' of our universe is that every release of new potentialities (or modes of energy) brings about a polarization of effects — that is, the new potentiality will be used both for const

  A. Ruperti and D. Rudhyar my mentor Alexander Ruperti (1913-1998) was born 100 years ago he helped many generations of astrologers in understanding Rudhyar's thinking and principles  and in developing further his synthetic approach to astrology here is the link to his tribute to Dane Rudhyar (1895-1985) :  A Seed-Man For The New Era in 2000 Joyce Hoen wrote the following about A. Ruperti :  It was March, 1989: the planets Saturn and Neptune were about to meet again after 35 years, for the first time since my birth (when they also where in conjunction). Planets in a birthchart are lived either within, or in relationship with the outside world, and will then manifest there -- all astrologers are aware of how a chart gives us this interesting take on reality.  It was a sunny day in March and I was asked by Tees Reitsma (who had organized the 3rd international astrology congress of "Astro-Kring" in The Hague re this Saturn-Neptune conj

Catalogue des étoiles, par Abd al-Raḥmân ibn Omar al-Ṣoûfî,   الصور السمائية  - "Les Figures célestes" - publié 1301-1400 Bibliothèque Nationale Constellation Pisces from the Book of Fixed Stars  text by Abd al-Rahman al-Sufi, Arabic parchment manuscript. Kitab suwar al-kawakib al-thabita (Book of the Images of the Fixed Stars) of al-Sufi, Timurid period (1370–1507), probably 15th c. - Iran The preface to this book discusses the studies available to the author, including those of Ptolemy, Utarid, and al-Hajjaj, but points out the errors within them that led al-Sufi to make his new and improved study. He then describes the forty-five constellations, in order of those in the northern hemisphere, the zodiac belt, and the southern hemisphere. For each constellation, he lists the position, brightness, magnitude, and color of the stars within them, provides corrections to Ptolemy's observations, and adds details

Pisces by Johannes Hevelius, 1687 (stars are heightened in gold) The last new moon before Nowruz and the spring equinox... occurs in the midst of a mega stellium with no less than nine 'bodies' (the Sun, Moon, five planets and two asteroids) in Pisces... with Mercury still retrograde,  and the Sun.Moon conjunction forming two major aspects: a trine with the Nodes a T-square with Lilith, Ceres and Vesta on one side and the Galactic Center on the other. This unusual stellium with a mass of planets in Pisces, is actually simpler to interpret than most planetary configurations. The planets are blurring each other's specific function; their activities dissolve and merge into one sole electromagnetic wave. What really stands out is the Piscean vibration, which results in a disintegration of the personality as a separate entity. It requires a "going with the flow" and a channeling of energies through the activities of
